Nirvana Safaris 6 days family safari Tanzania

As of 2024–2026, a gorilla trekking permit costs $800 per person for foreign non-residents in Bwindi Impenetrable National park Uganda. While in Rwanda, a standard gorilla trekking permit costs US$1,500 per person, per trek for foreign non-residents. This permit allows visitors to spend one hour with a habituated mountain gorilla family in Volcanoes National Park. Making Trekking in Uganda more affordable compared to Rwanda.

Due to the high demand and limited availability, one is advised to book Gorilla and chimpanzee permits 6 - 12 months in advance to avoid missing out on your once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking safari.

June - September and December - February are the dry seasons in the country, making roads easier to navigate and national parks more accessible.

Bring lightweight, neutral-colored clothing (beige, khaki, green), a warm sweater for chilly mornings, a rain jacket, sturdy waterproof walking boots, sunscreen, and repellent.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park has been a UNESCO-designated Natural World Heritage site since 1994. Bwindi habitats half of the remaining world’s endangered Mountain Gorillas. The ancient ecosystem of the Bwindi forest dates back over 25,000 years. Making it one of East Africa’s most diverse rainforests. Visitors get cultural significance by interacting and engaging with the local Batwa Pygmies to learn about their ancestral connection with the rainforest.

If visiting Uganda, Kenya, and     Rwanda, you can apply for a single East Africa Tourist Visa for US$100, which allows multiple entries over 90 days.

The millions of wildebeests and zebras are always somewhere, but they are not always in large herds and on the move.  Their location is largely dependent on the weather, which can vary considerably from year to year. In general, the herds begin to cross into the Masai Mara in July and continue through August. They remain in the region until the beginning of December, when they follow the rains southward back into Serengeti National Park

Because of the size of its organization and volume of customers, we can easily include single travellers on most set date safari departures, subject to there being at least one other booking on the date chosen. There is a supplement to cover the additional cost of single accommodation. However, there is no single supplement (or a greatly reduced one) on most safaris in the low season months of April & May.

Yes. All safaris can be booked with the exclusive use of a vehicle for your party. A custom safari for two clients is significantly more expensive per person than seats on a similar small-group safari. However, on a custom safari with an exclusive vehicle, the cost of the vehicle and driver/ guide is divided by the number of clients sharing the vehicle. Therefore, the cost per person of a custom safari reduces the more clients that are sharing the vehicle (maximum in one vehicle is usually 7, but on request, such as for families with children, we can carry up to 8)
